just up the road from me he had it on face book for 950 a week or so ago but never got a bite i did think about buying it but i just dont have any use for it just now and iv already got 3 little outboards im not using

That went quickly from Ebay, with it being noted as "ended due to error in listing" I guess someone called round and did a cash deal.

lt was an old engine though, 2004.

It will be interesting to see the values and demand for these well regarded old 2-strokes as another decade rolls on. My first Tohatsu 9.8 2T was the last of the legal ones and just three years old at the time. Now many folks have them still in nice condition at twenty or more years old. Maybe thoughts will change when their average age is thirty years or more?

You can apparently still buy these engines "offshore" so l imagine new ones are occasionally being added to the numbers.
