Tohatsu 2.9 SIB

Anyone own or have heard anything bad about this SIB's? I would use a Tohatsu 9.8 2 stroke to power it.

Any suggestions of other makes, needs to be 2.9, inflatable floor not slatted or Ali which would come in at the £600 area. Looked at Honwave but too expensive for me.

Thanks Richard

I have a Tohatsu branded boat- 4.2m. Seems to be fairly well made, no issues with it and have used it for three seasons on rivers and the Solent.

We have owned an airfloor 3m Tohatsu with a 5hp (Tohatsu) outboard since about 2005 - although it's now largely used as a tender to the RIB when we are on a remote mooring. We have been very pleased - although perhaps unsurprisingly it will not get on the plane with more than 1 adult and 1 teenager with a 5hp!

10 Hp should do it then I guess. I have a 2.7m Tidel wave rib in Dartmouth (Dittisham) and that goes well, just dont fit in the car!! Just wanted another one for messing around on the Thames where I used to keep my current 6m Rib.
