Suzumar question, and my 2nd post !

Guys, I do have some information from a couple of FB pages I joined.

But I was wondering..does anyone know the maximum permissible engine weight on a Suzumar 3.8m sib? i've bought a 2nd hand package and the data plate is missing from the transom and the data I've seen from Suzumar's current catalogue omits weight but states HP @ 25hp max. That's fine but a 25hp 4T, a 25hp 2T are 2 different animals in terms of weight.

I bought it with a Mariner 40hp 2T. I'm aware it's too many horses etc, any a lot of people have had their penny in, WOT is not something that really tickles my fancy TBQH and I maybe on the lookout for a 15hp 2T or maybe a trade for my 40.

No info I have to hand but going powerful/heavy can actually spoil the SIB experience in some cases. Generally a 15/20hp is fine for a tiller steer SIB with light/normal load.

Do you have a trailer or daily inflate your setup?

BTW welcome to the forum... I missed your first post.

Edit: Have a look at this manual covering many models. I can't see a 3.8 but if you look at the models rated to 25hp (just over 18kw) the OB weight is shown as 83kg permissible.

Wow thanks @Fenlander that link is awesome, exactly what I was looking for. The DS390AL is the newer version of mine I've been led to believe IE 3.79m
I'll be building each launch, i think until I get the hang of using it (pleasure time restraints)
