Any body could give me more information about that boat ? I looked on the internet without much succes

It is a SIB with wooden keel, plywood floor. That all i know about.

The guy selling it bought it in 1988 and been stored for the last 15 years since he had cancer. He paid over 10K in 1990 for the boat. So i guess they are good quality boat. The boat is stored in his basement with heat.

Commercial grade SIB - used as transfer boats by RNLI crew. Heavy at 100kg bareboat. Takes a 50hp. Your dates above are off - which is correct? 10k STG? Seems crazy - they were selling new in the US for around the 5kUSD mark - maybe that 10k includes a motor etc?

They are very tough looking boats. I wouldn't be jumping into one for casual sibbing though. A 1988 inflatable is an antique and probably will need a lot of love, even if the fabric is sound.

You're not in England are you? No-one in England has a heated basement....

It makes replying to you more difficult, as answers are often region specific. Please open your CP (Control Panel) and change your Profile settings to reflect the general region you are in.

Well done.

I guess the asking price and condition are the deciders. If it inflates and holds air (no mouse holes) then you are in the game. If the glued seams and patches look OK then another step. Check the tansom to fabric joints. After that - can you cope with keeping it inflated all the time - it's a bit big to deflate regularly, other than for over the winter.

Any comments about the ride confort , soft bottom with hard keel versus the surfcat / gemeni grx style ?

People seems to say they really ride well in the chop but can we say it is a big step further or just kinda small improvement ?

Thank you
