SIB Rego Numbers

I have an idea to place rego numbers on a SIB. I am thinking of cutting rego numbers out of the same adhesive backed cloth that is used for numbers on sailboat sails. Bainbridge make such material.

I am most likely not the first with this idea and would appreciate feedback from anyone who has already tried this.

When I picked up my mk 3 it had vinyl letters, sold as a package from the boat dealer.

Lasted two years before deciding to start pealing off, deflating and rolling up for winter did the most damage.

This material I am looking at looks like a woven material rather than a piece of vinyl.

Maybe a piece of whatever material your RIB tube is made out of - have the letters laser cut and either stick them on, or stick the donor panel on?
