I have a zodiac futura mk2c fastroller + 25hp yamaha 2hp outboard insured with craftinsure. I would be most impressed if you manage to exceed 25 knots without tidal help.

You guys obviously know speeds achieved with these Futura/25hp outfits but I'd expected they'd be faster, perhaps the props would need changing from standard to get more speed?

I logged a lot of info on the GPS lat year on holiday and it's still loaded to the laptop. Our Zodiac 360 Fastroller with a nice 15hp Mariner 2-stroke would get around 19mph on the GPS four up (total 40 stone) and a maximum of 23mph seen two up. It would pop on the plane in seconds.

These results were in open water and in different directions so no real wind/tidal effect giving unrealistic speeds.

Not sure about top speed as I'm on Windermere, but it's got bags of power and feels like she'll fly

Great day out
Decided to buy the craft insure policy this morning, although I didn't need to show proof of insurance to launch at ferry nab (Windermere)
Only down side to the day was one of the futura speed tubes was deflated when I took the boat out of the water, I'm hoping it's just the valve wasn't seated properly and praying it's not a puncture, didn't go into very shallow water so can't see how I could have caught it on anything
