Sib Cruises ?

Re posted here just incase Sibber dont make it to the cruise section ;

I have been thinking of SIB/ small RIB (4m or less) cruises that could be fun with a few boats together. Mainly as I no longer have a bigger RIB which can do the Jolly to the Folly at a cruise, or the Nacho Run etc

So I’m thinking if people have a 2.8 SIB or 5-10hp engine boat where could a cruise (maybe it should be a SIB buzz due to the noise of smaller 2 strokes?) could go ?

I’m thinking things like Camber to Port Solent (allowing the bigger SIBS to nip out of the harbour and go fast ), or Poole (Baiter) to Wareham – again allowing some fast fun for the bigger SIBS (although if times the lack of speed limit in the harbour would allow some speed trials). You’ll note there is a Pub at the half way point which I do feel is vital.

Just an idea at the moment and while I am sure there would be bigger local RIBs along (water allowing!) I’m wondering if this would be of interest?

I thought the Thames SIB idea was a great idea and I was gutted I ended up having to do other stuff.

Loads of opportunities for this sort of trip on the Milford Haven waterway. Great in the summer, as many of the waterfront pubs have pontoons, allowing easy access.
Plenty of nice beaches too for a BBQ.

I'm hoping to get that way next summer with the bombard. At the moment I'm thinking about some of the cold still Autumn days we are due to get that can be done at short notice - ie decide at 7.30am , on the water at 10.30 , out the water at 3.30 ( before it gets dark )

I'd go for something a bit more Northern -Windermere / Fylde Coast / North Wales.

You appear to be confused about north!

Arctic circle as far as I'm concerned (speaking from an E. Sussex/south coast perspective)!
