Seapro 3.51m HD

Hi all just wondered if any one has any knowledge of the seapro 3.51 HD inflatable. I have spoken to the guy selling this and he has confirmed that it says on the transom plate that it is 3.5m and rated to carry 8 people and takes a max engine of 40hp :o. I have looked everywhere for info even on seapro website but this model is not listed can anyone shed any light on this. Thx.

40 horses on the back of a 3.5 meter SIB????

That seems a lot. The 3.5 meter Honwave is only rated at 20 so I can't see how the Seapro can take double the power.

Is it a private sale?

It may be worth giving seapro a call to clarify that there website is Seaproboats.co.uk.

Wouldn't like 8 people in a 3.5 either. 3 in my 3.4m seems crowded.

Called Seapro and they say that it's not one of there's and they think its a copy. Bit naughty as it's being advertised as one of there's even the wording on the add is from there website. It's on EBay http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...obalID=EBAY-GB thought it was a bit odd that size taking all that power and weight. Back to the drawing board. .

Thats odd, even the CE plate on the Transom says Seapro. Could you ask the seller where it was purchased?

It looks to me that the plate has been obscured on purpose by the bag/pump holding the bag over.

Ask for a photo of the CE plate. I would guess thats its a 3.8m and the seller is confused and hasn't actually been bothered to check the plate.

That boat appears that it was unsold twice with a starting bid of £1500, now towards the end of the season he's increased the starting bid by £495. Seems odd.

Seapro Inflatables look identical on the seaproboat.co.uk website. The 470 is rated 40hp and 9 pax, and it does look big for a 3.5m boat on the trailer

3.51 is quoted as m.sq and refers to the internal capacity. The model is stamped a 420 HDD, but that doesn't necessarily translate to the model name given. It will be at least 4.2 metres, and looks good value.

Not sure how they configure their serial numbers. It's either a 2008 or 2010 model.

There's also a possible leak in the starboard chamber. Something to look out for if purchasing.
