Rydal Brand

Hi I'm thinking of purchasing a Rydal inflatable for inshore angling , was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these boats ?

Seems like a newish venture run from a domestic property where they are importing generic Chinese SIBs with their brand name on.

Cheap for their size. Unproven if they have only been going a year or so and you wonder what level of quality control they are able to apply.

PS. Welcome to the forum.

Had the same thoughts myself , might take a chance and give them a go .... can always do a review then.

Very much personal choice.

You might save £100 yet find it falls apart after a year and the guy has moved onto landscape gardening... or it might go 10yrs OK. Do bear in mind resale will be much less than a Honwave so wiping out any initial savings if you do decide to move it on.

Well if it's the fact theses SIBs are Chinese you refer to then no need to call BP unless he's passing. The Chinese can supply from the worse to the very best quality... it's down to the quality control demands of the brand/importer that defines how good they are. And it is that which is the unproven element with this "new brand" rather than the ability of the Chinese to build an excellent SIB for UK leisure use.

Not allowed to comment or Poly will slap you down for having an opinion different to others. He calls it being contrary which is not allowed apparently.

But lets have ago to try and be helpful

I think I looked at those or something similar at the Southampton show. If that is the case they were not a patch on the honwaves and I don't think the difference in the price is enough to buy over a honwave.

My little ebay bought (new) 3.2 m Ali floor (Chinese) is still going very well and I love it (Used generally as a tender) and for having a blast with my 9.8 tohatsu 2 stroke when we moor the larger boat that it is a tender to, but when I bought it, it was about £380 so an amount of money that some including me would consider 'disposable', so I gave it ago and was and am very happy with it

At £749 for the Rydal 3.6 that is a different story I feel

It would be hard to be less accurate. Trolling is strongly discouraged, but whinging is outlawed.

Hi, I run Rydal Ribs, we are a small operator with big plans. We have inspected the factory out in China, we don’t simply buy on Alibaba. To date we have had great feedback. Please check out our Facebook page for some great reviews. The benefit of visiting and speaking to the factory is we have the ability to change features to suit.

By operating from our home address we are demonstrating our confidence in our product, no where to hide

It would be a good start to correctly describe your boats... they are not RIBS.

Rydal Sibs didn’t sound as good. The plan is to move into Ribs, testing our first one and the feedback has been great on Ullswater. Just need to sort logistics for delivery.

Well good luck with the venture but currently on each model page you call the inflatable models Ribs... i.e."Professional inflatable RIB boat"... and they aren't.
