One with spray deck removed looks like it may have been converted for the urban flood rescue team in the early days .

Hi Mart (did you get the PM?). It was re-designated as a boarding boat by the RNLI hence the pro job on the dodger. I really thought this was one going to be mine and I had a deal on the cards with the seller (RNLI crew) but it seems another will pass me by...!

The zodiac one is now in London as daughter boat to a tug. I'm looking for one still for an ex RNLI all weather lifeboat

The one in Anglesey (converted to boarding boat designation, just the bow dodger removed) is to the best of my knowledge still available and unsold twice on eBay with no bids at only 450.

Max. I started a new job, so the boat's been forgotten

Watch this space though, I am hoping to get a few times over the next week or so.

Transom never got done, winter job I think.

Ahh, no worries mate, hope you get a chance, plenty of summer left!

Much as I love my Aerotec, the Y Class itch will have to be scratched one day and I reckon it will need a 25...

RNLI Y Class - show and tell please!

Spotted this neglected looking y class at plymouth yacht haven quay. Not seen an orange one in private hands before.

The early Zodiac version with a 20 hp engine was nippy bit smaller & lighter than the later Avon version .

Not standard kit on a Y boat but fitted a waterproof vhf from a D class , just enough space in the Anchor box for the battery when i get one .
