River Tay at Dunkeld

We've been invited to join friends at a place called Eastwood House in Dunkeld Scotland later in the year.

The house is on the river apparently.

l was wondering whether the River Tay is navigable at that place in a SIB.
If so l will take it with us. Is anyone familiar with the area?

I've only seen the river as a car and on-foot visitor but even miles before Dunkeld it has sections about 18" deep over boulders and suitable for canoe only.

There are short sections that are deep enough but as said above bits that are 18” and with the lack of rainfall probably less. Paddle board [emoji736] canoe/ kayak [emoji736] waders [emoji736] sib [emoji777]

Okay that's a fairly definite no, but it's what l needed to find out.

Mountain bikes it is then! The SIB stays at home.
