Is this Rednecks last Scottish adventure before being replaced by my new sib?

Launching from Kip Marina.

Have a good one Steve. Look forward to your report/vid.

PS: is that an Aerotec next to Redneck?

It certainly is, Big Al C is with me.

Might take a couple of weeks but a video will be forthcoming.

It's true Redneck is a great Sib, you never know I might think my new one is rubbish and end up keeping Redneck.

And now there are 4. Yes another Aerotec, 1999 and in fantastic condition.

Fantastic day to be out on the water. Left our site opposite Tighnabruaich and went down the Kyle of Bute, around the south of Bute and across to Millport on Cumbria for a late lunch. After lunch came up the east side of Bute around past Rothesay, past Colintraive and on to Tighnabruaich for a couple of pints before heading back to site.
Lots of peat fires on the hills the one in picture is just across from where we are camping.

It was a cracking day around there last night, we left largs about 6pm & headed up the west side of bute, nipped into ettrick bay where there was a sperm whale beached earlier still there & not looking good , chatted with the Bdmlr guys standing by , they were hoping it would come off at the high tide later but it wasnt looking good & I think it will be a clean up operation rather than rescue later. Then headed up past the burnt isles & onto rothsay for fish & chips then back to largs around 10pm, still not dark with a bright moon shimmering on the water. Water was crystal clear too, would be a great time to go for a dive, unfortunately no time to get kit ready for that. A great night to be out on the water & looking to continue until the weekend.
You picked a great week to come up.

What an amazing week, brilliant weather, fantastic boating conditions and great company.
It's a shame good things have to come to an end.

I should hopefully get a video on YouTube during the next few weeks.

What a fantastic last (maybe?) trip for Redneck. Look forward to the video in due course. Also keen to hear of the new boat when it gets wet, you’ll know instantly if it is “the one” for the next phase of sibbing.

Hi Ken, I just hope the weather is as good when we go to Arisaig in July.

The fire was across the tops, it was relatively small when we got there on Monday but grew very quickly even though they started helicopter water bombing practically straight away. It moved South to North away from us but I think it was too wet lower down to spread closer to us.

Hi Fenlander, It was an amazing trip we couldn't have asked for better conditions and as usual Redneck performed as solid as a rock on the water. We did approx 140 NM over the trip.

I've not had a chance to look at any footage yet, but I should get a video done over the next few weeks.

I'm hoping to get the new sib (not got a name yet) wet the weekend of the 26th - 27th on Ullswater. I wonder how many sibs have had their maiden voyage on Ullswater?
