Paddle retaining straps

On my previous Aerotec (1998) it had paddle retaining straps right at the bottom of the tubes as they curved in to meet the floor. Ideal position out of the way. They were bonded to the PVC tube and had velcro closure.

These straps have been deleted from later models and the paddles stow loose and are a nuisance.

Anyone any ideas for a strap that I could glue permanently in a similar position?

Note: I intend to swap the standard plastic blade extending paddles soon for wooden paddles so ideas for tucking away the original paddles in their non-extended state sadly won't help.

Henshaw Inflatables would sort you out - Shouldn't be expensive either.
