Outboard Stand & Putting my Sib Away for Winter

I have just made an outboard engine stand out of a sack barrow as shown in the photos, it is now time to put my boat, outboard and trailer away in the garage till sometime next year so it is now tucked away till the next outing.

The weather has changed for the worst and we are now in a lock down plus the river where I put my boat is international waters that separates Spain & Portugal so I cannot use it on there at all and not sure when, hopefully looking at around mid-February fingers crossed and we get back into some kind of normality.

While it is in it resting place in the garage, I can look at the swivel seat I bought and come up with a solution to make more secure on my Sib
I have some ideas but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Will keep you updated on my progress

I am a Surveyor and managed a team of Architects for many years. I could never understand why in the UK we have tended NOT to build basement garages

My house is built on 3 floors the bottom being the garage and next to it another room just a little smaller when built I had with cavity wall insulation like the rest of the house with the garage door that is insulated, also there are stairs leading down from the entrance hall of the house.
You’re right about going down when building it cost more money but the space and convenience you gain is well worth it.
Photo below of the front of house.
