As the ordered fittings arrived this morning I replaced the temporary fuel line parts with proper fittings. Rubber grommets either side of the casing fix everything but allow flex if the brass connector gets knocked or caught.

Small observation ! (and i dont know) ..........Is that brass tank connector designed for flow both ways ? ,I have them fitted on my fuel seperator outlets to enable quick switch from inboard tanks to external ,but i recall having an issue when i fitted the other way round ? non return valve ?

Yup, the valve at the base of the internal tank is just opened and closed using the steel rod that passes forward to the front housing. If you had it open and the internal tank was close to empty then it would cause issues. The fuel cut off is technically now a selector.

Sorry not to be clearer !,i mean the tank connector with the fuel hose twin spigot and 1/4" bsp male is working round the opposite flow direction as its design ..........is this ok ? or are there check valves in it that may potentially cause a fuel starvation issue ??

Morning. I'm probably being a bit dumb as I'm not understanding. The tank connector is agnostic to flow direction. It's just a simple spring valve operated by the female pushing in the needle. I'm guessing there are different types available for different jobs?

Where I did have concerns over possible fuelling issues in a chop was the elevated position of the filter in the test design which is why I cable tied it to a lower position so as to maintain a reservoir of fuel.

Thats good ,if as you suggest the tank connecter is bi-directional then you will have no issues ...,it was purely "That" fact i was questioning as i said i did not know that ! and when i tried a couple of tweaks around tanks and fuel supplies i ended up with a bag of various connectors which were never exactly what i needed .
