Im not sure why my post IS NOT in the new posts from yesterday, and it doesnt seem to be in highlights like the others, I have paid for a subscription, and yes I have never been in any forum whatsoever, sorry to seam dim, but could really do with some help

Whether you’re a free or premium (paid) member has no bearing on where or how your messages are displayed.
Depending on what platform you’re using to view or post, (web page on a PC or App on a phone) you have to choose which section you’re posting in. On the app, see below.

New thread will have the title in bold.
Once I've clicked on it it will go to normal.
When someone posts a new reply on that thread the title will then be bold showing me there's something new to read on that thread.
If there are no new posts on the thread it will stay in normal type which tells me there's nothing new on that thread.
Hopefully this thread will now do that for you!

I have decided to go for the Honwave T38 as opposed to the T32, only a bit more heavier and nothing too drastic, I have a deposit paid for a 9.8 Tohatsu, but wondering about getting a Tohatsu 15hp. now this is my dilemma (weight is a big factor for me) I have noticed that the T 15hp elec start is only slightly heavier than a 9.8hp (as opposed to the T 15hp manual, IF I GET THE T15hp electric do I have to buy a battery or can I just use the manual pull option to start, any ideas or facts would be greatly appreciated

Good choice, the T38 is a far more capable boat than the T32. Size matters.

Re motors if weight is a factor go 37kg 9.8. If you want more power and can handle a few extra kg go 20hp manual start at 43kg (15 and 20 are same weight).

Yes you can pull start the 15/20 electric start variants but why carry the 4kg premium and not able to use it without a big starter battery. Electric start on a portable tiller operated motors is overkill in my book as so easy to pull start.

Are you even going to have the pull starter fitted on an engine that's factory fitted with an electric start?
There might be something you can use for a start if the battery is flat - mine has a natty little pullcord in a pocket inside the engine cover that you can wind round the flywheel, but I've never tried it. Also the cover would have to be open/off for me to use it.

Always under the impression most electric start motors in the portable sizes (up to 30hp) came with the standard recoil start as fitted to the manual start variants.

Might be wrong, so good point and worth checking.
