New boat and engine
I have my boat and engine at last.
Carbon pro 365 and a Tohatsu 15hp
Thanks for all your help.
I was going to put some pics up, but when I tried it asked for a url . I just have pics on the desktop.
Thanks again to all of you.

looking good even if a little under inflated
Did you fit the transom wheels? Are they from Boatworld?

The black and red looks nice!
What do you do with those launch wheels when under way? This style of launch wheel might clear those reinforcement parts.

They are not reinforcement parts Peter, just a spray/splash fillet. If the wheel leg doesn't push it out of the way, the fillet is usually quite flexible, it can be peeled from the transom using hot air and a palette knife. Velcro can then be fitted to the top of the transom and the fillet to hold it in place when needed.
I'm with you though when it comes to the Beachmaster type of wheels, I think they are great.

New boat and motor looking great, enjoy. Despite nay sayers splash gussets will not be problem with wheels retracted and can even be trimmed if required.
Personally not a fan of Beachmaster types as not deep enough for us when deployed. Prefer our wheels lower than motor skeg in drive mode….no worries when powering in to beach or ramp.

Hi Steve
Thanks
I did fit the wheels yes, no they came from Vevor.
It's not inflated fully, I had no floor in it. I have the air floor and the ally floor.
I am just getting a towbar fitted and a trailer to got out.
I have not used it yet.

Hi Chipko
Thanks for the comment.
I prefer the vevor price wheels, over £300 for launch wheels is not for me.
I'm looking forward to using the boat. I have to run the engine in first before going anywhere.

I'm impressed with the Vevor wheels, I've fitted them to my new sib
Great wheels for the money.
When/where do you plan your maiden voyage?
Just read your last post - it's much easier and more enjoyable to run the OB in whilst out on the water if possible.

Hi Steve
So if I cut away some of that splash fillet, it would still be ok? I wouldn't want to start causing problems later on.

Hi Steve
I will most likely use it in the river Tamar near me to start with.
I live near whitsand bay, so I will be venturing all around that are and across to Looe.

As chipko has said, trimming it to suit wouldn't cause any problems. Obviously don't trim more than necessary, or as others have done peel it back and fit velcro.
If it was me and they got in the way, I think I'd trim.

I will definitely be contacting you in the future for launch spots on the Tamar. It's a place I have book marked to explore.

Congrats on the new outfit, exciting times ahead. I loved having black tubes on my boat as we could lie on them after diving to get warm. Only downside was in summer they could get extremely hot and then feel quite soft if the sun hid behind the clouds.
Have a look at this stuff to protect the tubes, or any other plastics etc.

Partial that I am to a subtle grey to match my hair there is no doubt the red/black combo is one of the nicest. Look forward to the first outing. Is that 10hrs needed to run in the OB?

Hi Fenlander
Thanks, I like it.
I am looking forward to getting out on it, when this winds clears off and the menopausal sea conditions.
Yes 10 hrs before you can be using full throttle.
I will service it after the run in period.
Have you been out on your boat?
