It's 1-5th November. We'll be arriving on the Monday and staying until Friday

What days will you be on the water?
I'm in Coniston for 1 day that week. It can be any day it doesn't matter which as I'm visiting relatives on Park Coppice. I can tie it in with when you're on the water.
It would be good to see you in action.

I'll probably get up on Thursday 4th. Is it the full length of Coniston or just the Coniston or Torver end?

Nice one. Towards the Coniston end, it’s a measured 1km run with approx 1km each end to get up the speed

I'll just tell her I've arranged an early Xmas present .

I did actually jokingly discuss it with your dad when we were over for a meal but I think it went over her head.

Been on a diet since September, gradually gone down from 76kg to 71.2. Started the keto diet on monday, hoping to get to around 70kg. Copilot is around 50kg if that. Will be intersting to weigh the boat again at Coniston and see how much difference there is from 2018

That's a bit much even by my standards! But breakfast will be waiting until after the first run at least.

Hey Steve, it's not really sorted by class. Usually the wee hydroplanes go first but after that is a free for all. Looking at the forecast nothing will be happening on the Monday anyway, hopefully get a run in Tuesday

Nice one, I'll have some of my team hovering about even if I'm out on the water. A run only takes about 5 minutes anyway so should catch you!

Seamus, How are you getting on down there?

Getting on alright, running on Monday was all cancelled due to weather.
Tuesday was a bit too windy to be ideal, managed a couple runs not quite full throttle. First run hit 75.19mph max but only averaged 68mph over the two 1km runs. Second run moved my copilot forward for more stability, hit 72mph max and averaged 69.something.

One other thundercat here, running in the modified class, German crew with Hagen Jerzynski driving. They got a couple runs in then flipped at high speed, both taken straight to on site ambulance. Codriver ok, Hagen was kept in hospital and has 5 broken ribs. Quite a stark reminder of what can happen pushing one of these boats to the limit!

Today got two runs in, tried the 23p prop but wasn't as fast as the 21.5 which I've now put back on. Wind picked up in the afternoon so took the opportunity to climb the Old Man of Coniston, well worthwhile.
