Mounting a Battery Box to Achilles 310 Floor

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2006 Achilles HB 310 with the fiberglass rigid floor.

I'm adding an electric start Tohatsu 15hp after my Yamaha 15 was stolen last month. So, I'd like to install a battery box onto the floor. The dinghy is on davits, so I'd like to leave the battery mounted as I raise or lower the dinghy.

Can someone advise me as to what the approved/recommended method of screwing and drilling into that floor is? The cavity between the floor and the hull can't be too large, so I know I need to be careful. Or..........is this not advisable?

Let me know what I can expect.

Take Care, Greg
