Re above - tony t has spoken to them when we started this thread and they told him that as long as there is no freeze, I presume they mean......that the water pipes are not frozen up we can use the site.

Tony will contact them sometime this week and will update us all later.

Thanks,

kerny.

Update, as Steve says when i rang a few weeks back they did say that weather permitting they do stay open a few extra weeks and to give them a call a few days before to confirm this.
I have tried today but got no reply i will continue to ring and hopefully get an answer before the weekend, this his still plan A

If by any chance this is a no then plan B is
Bookings | Ullswater Camping, Caravaning and Marine Park

This site will be open and there is no need to book, anyone turning up after midday on the Friday can pitch their tent and pay on the Saturday morning its only a short drive to the lake so fingers crossed the weather will be good

Unfortunately the bar will be closed but there will be at least 1 shower block open

Got a gayzeebo, and your welcome to borrow it? Used it once for a BBQ party and since it's been in the loft.

Hmmm don't say that! Ireally would have loved to come along, but I have something on that weekend

It would have been brill to have a good fresh water run before winterisation.

But you are welcome to use the gazebo if required, your not a million miles away Kerny.
