Hi all
We are going to be staying on lusty beg island on lower loch Erne for a family wedding in April and planning to take the sib 380 air floor & 30 2 stroke . I haven't been there before and wondered if anyone had any experience of the area?

I understand that Lusty Beg is a nice spot for a wedding.

Lough Erne is a SIB paradise - you'll have no issues getting launched and you can cruise right into the centre of Enniskillen and through to the Upper Erne system if you so wish.

You'll want this: Linky - hard copies can be purchased locally

Enjoy

Hi As said above Lusty Beg is a nice place for a wedding. They have chalets, etc for accommodation, a fine health spa for relaxation and nice surroundings, a nice feature is that you have to cross over too the island on their small ferry. The owners Arthur, Liz and their family are good hosts and if you contact them I'm sure they will see you right. They have been on a number of our local cruises and they know the scene. Their hotel is on the lake edge and just to the front of the hotel is their marina so you will have no problem launching and mooring. The hotel has their own rib and often do cruises up the lake so perhaps you could organize a group to go out if it is too rough for your sib. Be aware the lake is sizeable and what could start out as a calm day could end up quite rough

Please watch out for diving activities around the numerous bridges. There is an ongoing programme of inspection which involves divers working from vessels or the river bank. Diver will have a surface supplied umbilical supplying him air and this may be floating on the surface or partially submerged. Despite working with massive A flags, warning signs, and attendants in high vis gesticulating and shouting when necessary, there are still people bombing around in small boats almost blind to their surroundings.

Lovely place though, enjoy your trip
