Looking for Bostik 2402 in Canada

Hi,

I am from British Columbia, Canada. Does anyone know where I can get Bostik 2402 here? Thanks.

Try Guy at Polaris Inflatable Boats. He uses quite a bit of it. He's in BC as well.

Yes, did call them. They have discontinued using it. They have their adhesive for their own boats. They do not sell to outsiders. Can anyone suggest an alternative to Bostik 2402?

Went on UK website and a tin can cost CAD 339 largely due to shipping.

Hi,

Just had a recommendation from an outdoor store nearby. They suggested McNett Aquaseal for the hypalon. Anyone had any experience with this?

For small hypalon jobs have used rema tip top sc2000. Its strong stuff, out of memory you need to work pretty quick whit it, so for big jobs maybe not optimal.

Storage life seams very good(years based on my own experience), but don't remember official recommendations.

Thanks Cnumb for your reply.

But clearly Clifton Hypalon Adhesive appears to be the industry favorite in the absence of Bostik 2402 (which isn't available in the North American Market). I even calledup Bostik Canada and they confirmed it's not in their inventory. So am getting it shipped to the US border closest to me from NRS so I can pick it up. Its a hassle but I think it will be worth it.

I probably used a gallon of the stabond glue putting my 7m zodiac back together. It worked great too.

Nope. Aquaseal is a polyurethane adhesive, similar to 5200, and a host of others.

You want something like Clifton, Weaver, or Shore; 2-part (usually) contact type adhesives designed for hypalon.

NRS sells it; you can probably find a local source by Googling "Inflatable Raft Repair".
