Leaking valve in Achilles SPD 2AD

I have an older Achilles 8 foot inflatable. It looks like one of the main valves is leaking - and that someone tried a previous repair. I assume the valve needs to be replaced, is this a DIY task or should I take the boat into a dealer to handle?
