lancashire launching?

i am hoping to get a sib soon, i live in lancashire. i know there are places to launch (checked out boat launch.co.uk), but are there any spots in lancashire that you can launch at sea with a SIB with launching wheels, where there may not neccessarily be a proper launching ramp? i did see someone on here a while back who launched a sib at blackpool.

Fleetwood beach, between the lifeboat pen and lower lighthouse. More sheltered than Blackpool.

Yes, but you have to be carefull of tides anywhere on this coast. If you mean could you launch any time at Fleetwood then the answer is yes for a small sib with launching wheels, quite a few jetski's and dinghy's use that area to launch.

yeah mainly meant can you use anytime.

with regards to the fleetwood spot, do you have to pay to launch?

does it have a car park next to it?? or just park on road nearby?

is it far to carry boat from car to each?

Park on road its free ramp down onto beach by lower lighthouse.

Depends how close you manage to get to the ramp but the pavement is very wide there and you may be able to assemble everything next to the car then wheel it onto the beach.

Unless you've got a 4X4 I wouldn't take your car on to the beach, I've seen some jetski towers get stuck. It's very soft sand. Like Kwil says, use the free parkin. I've put a SIB in there at a very low tide. Really easy but the current can be very very strong. Watch out for the Knott end ferry too.

You can also launch from Ainsdale beach on the right tide too. There's also a few spots near freckleton boatyard where you can get your SIB into the Ribble.
