Just picked up a pair of boats

One is a BRIS
Looks un-used / new / great condition



Other one is similar but in very bad condition but holds air , so it'll be a restoration .

Both are 10 footers.

Here is the second boat in terrible condition and the beginning of the restoration.

The first thing I do is take it to the car wash.

I'll typically spend less than an hour.

You can already see some of the white coming through on the inside of the tubes

You can still see a lot of staining after the first wash (right)

I spent an additional hour of cleaning with a 50/50 mix of degreaser and regular household bleach using magic erasers .

So far , this is the result after 2 hours of cleaning (left)

We used brillo pads and a bit of general cleaner with microfibre cloths.

It made a huge difference, and the whole clean took under two hours.
