Honwave vs Excel 4m

So I am just about to buy either a Honwave T40 alloy floor or a 395 Vanguard alloy floor. Had an excel it was great. Not sure which is better.. they are the same price

They are quite well matched really. Better colours and/or choice in Excel possibly?? Will probably perform and last about the same. More personal service from Terry at Excel many report.

Vanguard Excel 395 versus HonwaveT40

Would anyone know which is better in the sea?
The Excel seems to be lower at the bow than the Honwave making it more likely to nosedive into a wave.
Your experience and knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Neither should nose dive if set up correctly and driven correctly especially in a following sea when the wave behind you pushes you into the one in front that’s just a matter on speed control.

ChrisG have you owned or used a SIB before, has that ever given any concerns it may not lift over a wave? Compared to a hard hull all SIBs have significant lift into a wave with their natural buoyancy.

The Excel models tend to have a flat profile compared to the Honwave which may make the Honwave less of a wet ride but either of those models at the 4m size should be very seaworthy.

Just measured my excel 435 it’s about 36 inches from keel to top of the tube I’ve been in some big seas going around the isles with gurnard and on my own never buried the bow you will get spray as with ant boat
