Honwave Launch Wheels.

Moan time....!
After years of loyal service my T38 aftermarket launch wheels gave up the ghost at the end of last year. Over the winter I ordered a set of genuine Honda ones as I couldn't find any other altetnative.
First time out they managed to wheel my Sib 20yards before both sets of wheel legs buckled inwards and upwards towards the trim tabs.
I wasn't moving a 60hp but a meagre 6hp.
I removed the engine, carried it to the car before returning to the Sib and bending the wheel legs with my bare hands into a semi straight position.
Clearly these things are not fit for purpose let alone the 200kg advertised weight limit.
I have emailed the supplier and await their response.
The actual fit of the wheel leg into the transom bracket was shocking.
The diameter of tube of the wheel leg is about 5mm smaller than the transom bracket mount - meaning that the wheels at rest had massive lateral play - a surefire recipe for failure
At £250 Honda should be ashamed !
Does anyone know of an alternative set of transom wheels as the Sib is too big to manage without wheels?

Complete collapse is rare but you’re not the first... many others have experienced the slack mounts wobbling though. Could you go to a launch trolley and then take rollers like Donny for any need to pull up the beach during a trip??

It would appear I may have been a bit of a pillock
Deploying the wheels under the murky brown water when coming ashore I think I have put the pins in the wrong holes meaning the wheels were slanted inwards under the water
I have been building these wheels up to fail since I bought them.
No doubt they will in due course

Oops! Yes they need to go vertically down. Even then I’ve managed to overload mine and shear the original pins. I found that drilling out a larger hole for an 8mm pin has been a big improvement. Lots of detent pins available in stainless.

Yup I did that with my last ones too, even drilled a set of horizontal pins as well that way I couldn't put the wheels on the wrong way.
I reckon I've put the pins in the holes meant for the upward position.
It was a long with a 5am start day

At the price of £250 they should be way better. It is because of the issure you state I keep looking at the New T38IE 3 which of course doesn't have the sticking out rear tabs and you can use normal wheels. At a price of £1200 it is incredibly good value also

Looking at the first pic you posted how is your transducer mounted ?
