Well not tried as such but a few years ago was given one that lay in the shed for a while and I looked at it a couple of times but decided against. They are mostly a light build with cheap small diameter plastic wheels and thin ribbons of rubber for tyres. So certainly not suited to the places we bump about on the way to the water's edge.
But anything is possible I guess if you mod it enough.
