Fishfinder recommendations

Hi all new poster here from Liverpool, just wondering what people use on their sibs as I'm in the market for one, also what kind of battery would you recommend?

Sorry if this has been done to death

Many thanks
Kirkbysib

It's been done to death.☺ I've go the Lowrance Elite 5 HDI, with GPS, powered by a 12v 7 ah battery. But it all comes down to what you want and more importantly, how deep are your pockets? I'm sure if you give a price limit people will give you suggestions.

Just seen your budget, keep an eye on ebay and FB (fishing tackle for sale etc.)
People upgrading all the time and you could pick up a bargain. Most of my fishing is done from boats on reservoirs and rivers and I always used Lowrance but few of my mates use Humminbird ,Garmin is making come back too.Batteries depend on FF most in your budget will last ages with 7/9Ah

There was a thread started by 0ldbloke on here he bought a dragonfly look for that he was on a smallish budget I think for a SIB . As said 7-8 amp hour battery ok especially if it's charged from your engine.

Cheers
