F470NAVIC P Zodiac

I have a 1987 Zodiac F470 without any floor boards. I was wondering if anyone out there knows where I can get the boards for this boat or proper dimensions so I can make floor boards without worry of chaffing or cutting into the boat.

The aluminum stringers and battens are kinda a required component in inflatable boats.

Without proper floor spacing, the boat is not rigid enough and it can put too much stress on the transom.

I'm guessing this was a surplus boat?

Check this thread, Peter_C posted some links for user manuals. It will give you an idea of how the factory floors are constructed.

The boards fit VERY tight. The stringers and bow/stern boards actually push in to the material with a significant amount of force.

Diver18, Welcome to RIB.net

Sorry can't help on the floor boards, other than keep an eye on craigslist and ebay. I would recommend setting up an auto search for both. In theory there should be more floor boards than boats as the boat fail long before the floor boards. Could you go back to where you purchased it from and ask around?

Richard, you are a great person to have around the board with your knowledge. Please stick around

There have been a number of versions of the infamous F 470. Not all of the boards are interchangeable between older and newer hulls. There have also been changes in the transom height and the grade of hypalon used.

F470 floorboards

Thank you for all the info that everyone was able to supply. I have been trying to find information for a couple of days now. I will have to go back and take some measurements of the inside dimensions of the boat. It is pretty crazy that there is so little info on this boat that gets so much use...of course it is military use for the most part. I did check with where I received it from and they had no floor boards for it. I will keep my eyes open and check all the links you sent me. Thank you again Office 888, Peterc and cgoing for the info that you did provide.
