F-Rib Folding Technique

Hi All,
I've just received a second hand F-Rib 330. Due to weather and a new baby girl arriving I've not had chance to get it on the water yet. My practice attempts at inflating and folding in the garden seem a bit clunkly and the boat doesn't pack down very flat. The bow section doesn't tuck in behind the transom flat and so sticks out a bit when packed.

I'm sure I can get this better. Does anyone know of any good videos or tips that show the best method.

Thanks
Ben

No idea on on folding but look forward to hearing how it goes compared with your T38.

Ha you have a good memory to mention the T38! I still have the T38. The F-Rib was a completely unnecessary impulse buy.

I haven't decided whether to sell the T38 or keep it for when I want a bit more space on the water.

Pull the sides in as far to the middle of as they can go.
Fold over the bow & keep squeezing the air out as you do.
Make sure the bow handle sits behind the rear join otherwise the bow will hit the transom.
This is from memory, as my 360 is currently sitting on its trailer!

As above, empty out as much air as possible then tuck tubes into middle.

Fold bow in and get the two "flats" that are exposed lined up vertically. If the bow section has gone far enough to the stern then when you fold the middle in it catches on transom.

Its difficult to explain but I usually find with a bit of jiggling it does fit in. It won't go dead flat but sits inside transom ok.

Cheers

Yep, basically the same process we follow. I had never thought about leaving the wheels on to make it easier to move when packed down though so thats a really useful idea

Cheers,

Thank you very much for that video. Been searching all over YouTube for something like that. Pretty sure mine didn't come with an extra strap to tie down the tube ends.

Will have a few practice goes in the garden.

Another F-Rib question....

How do you mount your transducers? tried it with one of them clamp on transducer poles, which was a waste of time really
