Hi Gurnard
Thanks for your updated review, looks as if you've got a great outfit.
BTW what is the Android navigation app you are using?
Cheers
Derek

>>>Im loving this wee boat..in the past 30 days..I have been full day boating for 7 of those days.. because it is so compact and handy to carry in the car .. I can just go on impulse

These are not just empty words when I say it does sound the perfect outfit for your mini/medium adventures... well done on getting the choice spot on... and on picking the new Yamaha. I very much look forward to weather, tides and the stars coinciding one day so I get to see the setup first hand.

Anyway did you perhaps find the odd disturbance on this outing from a deep V carved a while back by southern raiders on a very similar track...

Hi Derek..its an old app called M Tracker. And its no longer available. It loads my OS maps off the phones memory..so doesn’t need connected to a signal.

Then it plots my course as I go..recording it as a GPX file. I then loaded the gpx file into my computer..and used Memory Map to display it.

Nowadays..Memory Map is available on Android..and does the same thing. Hope that helps..not a good screen shot of the app in the phone .. because of glare ..but you get the idea. The first map I posted is from the computer and is Memory Map.

hi Fenlander..yup..I knew you had been there :-D

Today I saw otter..and Osprey ..as well as the usual gulls n seals. Eilean Mor was very interesting to see ..I like the old chapels and caves..monks of old lived in..now if only I could get on the Garvellaches..but Willk put a curse on me landing there ..last year

I will do a Guppy adventure with photos for Loch Sween..but I need to do my Solway Firth one first..I have been to busy collecting material to write and post about them

Hi Gurnard
Thanks for the info, I'll take a look at the Memory Map app.
