Doesn't matter where you say you put it "because"...

I know it's there.

Ahhh! Nope, I machined all 6 bolts, that was the first one. A before & after pic. Willk, it’s all in your head[emoji23]
Jeff, you’ll be ok with your battery, mine’s directly underneath & only pulls the compass from around 100mm or so.

Nope. Few if any do, without the use of an external fluxgate sensor.

You did very well - I had to buy a Lowrance fluxgate sensor to enable my systems to a similar standard.

Had her out again today. We ventured out of the Camel Estuary in a stiff onshore breeze. Crossed the bar, & once we were into open water we had a decent 2m+ rolling swell. Piglet took it in her stride & felt safe & sure footed. We were 3 up & had to shift one body forward to ease getting up on the plane. Mrs PD has given the seal of approval & is as happy in the SIB as in the RIB. The Volaire continues to impress & gets better as our experience grows.Click image for larger version

The weather looks very similar to what we had in South Devon and the Solent last week, hope it improves for you.

That does indeed look like a rough sea for a Sib. Encouraging that you felt safe in it. Did you get very wet or is it also a 'dry boat'.

Before you know it you will be down with the Gurnard fighting off the Midges in and around Scotland
