Electric Pumps

Just ordered my SIB at the boat show - I need to get an electric pump now.

I don't think I need a high pressure one as I have an Ali floor, with inflatable keel.

Anyone any ideas or experiences?

I've got an LVM High Speed Inflator which I use with one of those 12V "jump start" powerpacks. It works very well.

I haven't tried the Ribshop one, but they tend to stock good stuff!

That's a Bravo 12, isn't it? Have they re-designed the thing? It had a reputation for overheating and possibly catching fire shortly after I bought one; enough so that there was a very quiet recall on them here in the States (pulled from stock, no owner returns.)

Heard rumors that they were planning a change to address those problems, and then one day they started appearing in on-line catalogs again.

FWIW, I've never had a problem with mine.

There are not any problems as far as we are aware, Seen as you have raised the question I will check with the distributor and let you know that the answer is.

Timeframe would have been somewhere around 5 or 6 years ago, I think.
