How did you get on? I thought the jumble would be a bit bigger but...

I ended up buying:
Rope and chain for my anchor
New 6ft boat rod
Orange emergency dry pot
New tow rope for my ringo

Not a bad haul when I didn't have anything in mind to buy!

Got an auto jacket with light whistle ect for £17 brand new with tags....
Vhf handled...
Fishing stuff and a general assortment of rubbish :-)

There were some good bargains to be had, didn't find a fish finder though :-(

Anyone been out on their boat? Or are we all hiding from this wind / swell?

I'm really keen to get out on the water but every time I think about it the wind gets up! I think I'm going to resort back to the kayak on the river stour instead!

I have seen a quite a few people fishing on the alde recently - as soon as it calms down I'm going there to try my new boat rod

I reckon that's a good idea! Post up or send us a message and I'll come with you if you want some company! :-) where would you launch? Orford? Is it as bad as people say there for the tide?

I'll let you know if I get out next weekend, I bought a launch license for Orford and I've never had any trouble with the tide, the slipway always seems clear and easily accessible.

Hi Guys. We have 2 boats moored at Ramsholt and a 5.5m rib and a small RIB with a 9.9 hp mariner. It would be good to meet up for a trip out of the mouth or to the rocks between Ramsholt and Waldringfield. I guess we have seen each other before on the river. I will be taking both RIBS down in about a months time and will hope to be down most weekends weather permitting.

Cheers Will

Hi Will!

Like yourself I'm waiting for the weather to turn good again! I got out 4 times off of the beach at Felixstowe in Dec for a spot of fishing but its been too windy lately. I have launched at Bawdsey a few times and motored up to Ramsholt!

Post up on here when you are going out and we'll have to meet up!

Sounds good to me. Always more fun when more than 1 boat. Just got the the 9.9 mariner back from being serviced.

I am coming down to Suffolk today (live in Leicestershire) to look at some new boats with my grandfather. Weather doesn't look to be great.

Cheers Will

Hi Will. If you check the second post of this thread there is a picture of my AVON Adventure 7.20. I also have a rover rib 3.10 with a mariner 15, but that's more of a tender to the yacht than something I would take as far as the deben!

Hi all, I am planning to head to the deben next weekend to give the rib a run. Will more than likely have the SIB out as well. Hope the weather behaves. Anyone else about?

Hi all, I'm also new to this.. recently purchased a Honwave T32 with 10hp Honda to power it. into shore fishing and tried the kayak route but that wasn't fun. So went this method, not even tested it yet. Got most of the safety gear too, just waiting for the vhf handheld and garmin GPS. Anyone have any advice to a newcomer and does anyone venture out around the norfolk coast ?
