Thanks for the update I wanted to try and keep the price as low as possible and £100 is more than double of what I paid for the boat also its my first boat and don't know if I'm going to enjoy it so don't want to pump a load of money into a boat I am going to get rid of in a year or so I was hoping to spend £30 on new valves and should be able to get the ply from work to make the floor I am thinking about making a keel from timber unless something else comes up my brother in law has a small boat and he has other bits an bobs for me to keep the cost down I would have come over to Sheffield but don't know when I would find the time got the missus on my back to finish things in my house before I start playing g with my toys as she puts it if you could get me some pictures of the how the floor is that would be great

Thanks Colin

Hi. Yes all done.
I took it to POLYMARINE LTD. They initially said that they could restore and repair it. Unfortunately when they started to work on it they found it leaked like a sive and some of the fabric had become porous. As such they could not continue the work due to health and safety issues/liabilities.
Ah well we tried.
Since I had already restored the wood work i decided to continue with the project anyway. I repaired the main leaked and Obtained some tube sealant fluids then used them on the main tubes. I stripped and cleaned the valves.
Bingo its worked!
It now stays inflated enough to remain usable. It just needs a little top up every 24hrs or so.
I wouldn't want to trust my life to it but am sure we can have a bit of close shore fun with it again.
It looks so so dinky and cute!
I hope to give it a first run next week.
If you re send your phone number I will send you a couple of Pics
