I still think its funny whenever I see pictures of Marines in CRRCs they usually look like they are NOT having fun... whenever I take a CRRC out I have a blast! :-)

Well, they're Marines. If they smile, they have to give back their He-Man badge.

FWIW, I used to dive with an ex-USMC Drill Sergeant; he made the most noise when slapping waves, grunting at every impact (more even than the 100lb wife of my dive buddy.) I had to tell him to knock it off or he'd be staying on the beach the next trip.

The USMC knows how to take something fun and make it into work. You'll have yawn-inducing classes beforehand, an activity in which you are expected to quickly master all skills, and hours of cleaning afterwards.
