You have to lay it on one side typically assuming this is a small engine???( very important you check which side you need to do it with, some Suzuki I think can be either side but check your manual) and I put a fender under the powerheads to give it some height to help keep oil where it is meant to be.

If it is a big engine then make up a bracket on a pallet to mount it with trim right up so engine head is pointing upwards like it is trimmed up...like this link

Or if it is a one off journey and depending on size, drain oil and put it on an old mattress or cushions.

More info would be good for better advice.

If you have trouble prising the pages of the manual apart* I think you'll see a sticker on the OB near the tiller that gives guidance.

* Always hate to admit defeat and read the manual!

I sometimes stand mine (6hp Suzuki) up behind the passenger seat, wrap an old carpet round it and move the seat backwards as far as it will go trapping it (gently) between the front and backseats. When I've had to do this due to the trailer/engine-on-transom option being unavailable, I've always had the car completely rammed full of other stuff all around it though so it had no chance of moving an inch!

I should have read the manual first it is clear enough on chipko s pic. Like the idea pf rolling ot ip in a carpet behind passenger seat leaves more room in the boot for boat.
