Bow Dodger

I know Gurnard made his but what do people tend to use as a bow cover/spray dodger for their sibs or small ribs. One you can buy

Mrs Fenlander knows that is her place in life. But I do have to say with the right weight distribution and helming she rarely has to cop any spray... but I do hear about it when she does.

Old tent pole and a piece of tarp does the job for me.
Screwed 2 pieces of wood to the bench seat and drilled a hole in each piece to hold the tent pole.
Got an old piece of tarp and some pins from the wife's sewing box.
Cut tarp and and pinned the shape of it to fit the sib bow.
A piece of string fed horizontally between the factory fitted bow eyelets was used as a means to anchor the bow dodger down.
I bought an old sewing machine for 30 squid from Gumtree.
It's served me well - if sewing things with it quite therapeutic [emoji1]
Was meaning to use the tarp as a template to make a proper dodger but haven't gotten around to it yet . The tarp is 3 years old and still going strong. It does the job perfectly and cost next to nowt😊.
Must admit Big Al's bow dodger and sib tent tarp is a work of art.
