i agree with fenlander you need to get it right this site give opinion you take or leave but what it does it puts new ideas in your head it helps you to make a decision whats best for you. with your aux engine your merely risk assessing if your kit is maintained and looked after you should be ok on one engine + paddles + anchor + radio etc theres lot of fishing boats go out day in day out on one engine.
for whats its worth in in 47 years of powered boating i have had one prop bent got me home OK and one kill cord plastic bit crack to prevent starting no spare so wrapped string round to get home [quick fix] i might be lucky but i have had aux only on my last two boats because they were too big to paddle i wont be putting one on the sib.OMO
