Hi. Could you tell me if the yellow wheels would be any good for my Honwave transom wheels. with the original black air wheels If there is a slight swell they can be difficult to put on.

Hi Steve. Do you think the yellow wheels will fit or be any good for my Honwave transom wheels.

It depends upon what size wheels you currently have fitted. The yellow wheels are a large diameter wheel - 350mm. Providing you have a clearance between your wheel axle and the bottom of your T32 greater than 175mm, and if it's the IE2 the wheel doesn't foul the trim tabs, then I don't see a problem.

Hi Steve, they are the newer IE3 wheels but there is plenty of clearance from the transom to the wheels. Were would I get them from. Thanks

Ahh the yellow wheels. in many ways best to start with them and build the SIB outfit from there.

Sounding very wistful there David?

How's the rib?

High jacking the thread briefly - have you ever launched at Blakeney or Burnham Overly?

Rib.. well two and a bit weeks into a predicted 6 week full recovery period. I've halved the prescribed codeine dose now and I'm moving about a little more albeit very gently. Realistically I've lost the best of the end of the season but we'll see.

I know the Blakeney area well as we stayed there loads as a late teen when dad's friend owned the hotel and kept a motor-sailer on the quay at times.

For small craft use I'm not that keen as it is very muddy unless you keep to the top of the tide. Between launch and recover particularly with a dog paddling about everything gets filthy. It's interesting to explore the channels though but nowhere to head for a pontoon and cafe break.

Burnham is similar with a very tortuous estuary. Again it was years ago I was there in a boat and that was a 16ft sailing craft with lifting keel so you could manage with a foot of water.

But if you are aware of those restrictions and get the tides right you may well enjoy the somewhat wild undeveloped feel to the estuaries... unlike much of the south coast which can be all about the pontoons and cafes.

Thanks David, friends have hired a cottage for a week in Blakeney next April and have invited Di & I to join them. Thought it may be interesting to take Redneck out for a couple of days. Never thought about estuary mud, white dog / black mud / holiday cottage, hmmmmm will have to give that some thought.
Hope you have a speedy and uneventful recovery, cracked ribs are not nice.

If you want to avoid the mud an hour out on the seal watching trip boat is enjoyable.

Hello Fenlander. I hear you use the compass24 Dolly wheels and was wondering would you recommend them, what's the difference between the two models. £140 the other £170. Thanks Steve
