Aerotec floor straps

Any aerotec experts able to advise on a source of replacement floor straps that aren't ridiculously expensive? I can find some on ChasNewens but they're 60 quid a pop...for a small plastic strap! Anyone found anything better? Thanks!

Probably quite easy to fashion some: https://www.rib.net/forum/f50/bombar...art-75466.html

I'll ask as I did in the thread from 8yrs ago that Max has linked.

Are you after the black air floor retaining straps with buckle that glue to the boat, the white flat straps that are fixed to the air floor or even the fuel tank strap set?

If the black straps with buckles they are Zodiac part Z3341. Still expensive but £27 not £60. Be wary of basing decisions on the Chas Newans website or any supplies from Zodiac. That website is years out of date in places and Zodiac seem to have lost interest in supporting the older boats in the way they did 15yrs ago.

As Max says quite easy to make replacements. Assuming the black floor straps they are just a strip of 0.7mm material shaped, folded back on itself and reinforce stitched over a small area. The generic white patching material I have from the usual RIB repair suppliers as an example is 0.7mm, the black 1.2mm so either would do.

No, I'm after the light coloured straps that link the floor into the black tie-downs. I'm missing one (not sure I ever had it) and the floor sticks up noticeably at that point. It looks like quite a lot of its strength comes from being sewn into the circular patch which attaches to the floor?

Ahh ok, well I’d still make one from doubling up some standard material and have the pad where it attaches to the floor glued to the old pad which is heat welded to the floor and a good surface for adhesion.

Brill. Thanks for your help. How many tie-downs would you aim for along the length of the keel? Mine is a 420. I currently have 2 on one side and 3 on the other and I can't get the keel to stay under the tubes effectively!
