Trailer wheels

Evening,

How many of you use proper trailer wheels/tyres on your trailer compared to car wheels and tyres.

On a single axle trailer is there any need for trailer wheels?

dont know about the wheels themselves, but its well worth getting trailer tyres - the sidewalls are much stronger and stop the trailer from wallowing from side to side. i used both, and thats my experience.

On heavier rigs, standard tyres rarely have a high enough load rating for safe use.

Yes, I always use trailer specific tyres. Saving a couple of quid but making your rig unsafe doesnt seem worth it to me.

Trailer tyres for me you save a few quid doesn't match up to the risk

its funny, one of my trailers needed new tyres so i looked at prices - the trailer ones in that case were cheaper than car ones!
