Towbars

I am sure this topic has come up before, but it is new to me.

My rib is in a marina, but I am thinking of trailing it to new places.

I would welcome advice on towbars - what to fix, who fits them, pros and cons, etc, etc.

Many thanks - MGx

Can’t help re a fitter in your area but make sure they guarantee it’s compatible with all the electronics on the car and they fit one that doesn’t need the bumper cutting.

Solent Towbars mobile fitting. Used them recently and great service. They will supply almost any type to suit budget and also electric kits that are either vehicle specific or generic.
I'm a fan of the Westfalia removeable swan neck type as when removed there's nothing cluttering the rear of the car.

In the post below, you were seeking a model car and trailer to, in your words:

"Getting people who have never towed anything to understand the mechanics of reversing."

https://www.rib.net/forum/f19/model-...ler-87098.html

Maybe you have forgotten you were going to teach people to reverse a trailer although in fairness you never suggested you had any knowledge yourself.

Who fits towbars?

Well I would avoid Fish and Chip shops and Shoe Shops. But maybe, and this is only a guess.

Google towbar fitters in your area and you maybe surprised.
