slipper suspension too loud

Hi,

When going over bumps the suspension unloads and the open end bangs around between the trailer frame and the hanger. Anybody have advice on quieting it down?

Thanks,

Slipper end leaf springs? How about gluing or zip-tying about a 1/4" sheet of rubber sheet between the hanger and the spring end?

Don' really know; I've got C-hook springs (which aren't a hell of a lot quieter.)

Yes slipper end leaf spring. Will try you suggestion.

I think it would be much better if the trailer came with a spring suspension...maybe over the winter I will do a conversion. Anybody do this?

Thanks.

FWIW, I was thinking about going with a torsion axle to get rid of the springs; but If I'm doing that, I'd want to go with disk brakes as well (calipers, idler hubs, rotors, new actuator, new lines)... Too much money right now.
