What parts exactly?

That's a good price for two axles though.

Retail prices I'd reckon would be:
Cables £15
Bearings £25
Axle set (shoes & springs) £50
Adjusters £15

I make that about £240 for both axles. Why are you getting new drums, if you're changing the bearings? If the surfaces that the brakes press against are bad then I usually use a die grinder and 80 wet and dry to take them down.

Btw - is that £522 per axle, or for both? If it's per axle it's dear, if it's for a pair then it's cheap.

I had a similar £1000+ quote from a company (or their supplier) when I bought the Ribtec, as the trailer bearings were slightly noisy and there were no braking components at all...

I looked around fairly sure I could do it cheaper and probably by myself! Because I had no examples in the axle and wasn't entirely sure on all the components, I just bought a complete new backplate for ~£70 each, stripped the components and fitted to the existing back plates. Example: Al-Ko Brake Backplate Assembly 230 x 61mm LEFT HAND . Cables and bearings easy to find and not very expensive.

I think I spent around £350 on parts to completely refit a braking system to a twin axle Alko trailer, including the main braking cable to the handbrake.

Think there might be VAT on that price give them a call they are very helpful Vincent Vega on here had a 750kg axle made for him a few weeks ago it only took them a week to make it & I think they only charged him £130+ vat for fully galvanised sealed axle
