Having had about 4 new trailers during the last 14 years, the first thing I always did was take the tyres off and fit heavier Van 'style' tyres with beefed up ratings, broken slips and shores especially stoney ones are very hard on them, not to mention an odd submerged rock you might have missed on your launch preamble inspection. So far so good

You wernt far away from trouble there Mick good job you got it in time

You got twin axle mick?

Based on your recent towing destinations I'd contemplate having a twin.

I phoned Meredith and Eyre to get a spare wheel for mine, ended up buying 2 as my existing tyres are only rated to 800kg for the pair, boat and trailer are over 1300. Worth checking, I'd neglected my trailer and it's taking up a lot of my time now.
