Thanks for the responses guys, and not so for the "old engine"!

Yes it is still legal and yes my license covers it.

One of you commented on the back rest come bottle rack.
Not sure of its exact weight but I remember installing it and it was very heavy. I would hazard a guess at 60-70kgs.


To put you all out of your misery;
Trailer =500kgs
Boat and trailer 1560kgs.

I was expecting a lot more.
I guess cromptons were kept on the light side owing to their large payload capacity............

Sorry Lee,

That was me, looking at it again I was wrong. At first thought it was one of those old vintage V-8 300hp Johnson outboards when looking at thumbnail size; my bad.

If it was one of those engines (legendary) and if you needed a little more oomph, you could have done this to it for a little more get up and go.
