Genuine vs aftermarket Knott parts

Decided to have a look at the brakes on the trailer this afternoon... oh the joys.

Is there any benefit to using genuine Knott stuff vs aftermarket? The aftermarket stuff is half the price (brake shoes & bowden cables) and I figure salt water dunking is going to kill them anyway.

I'd go for the cheaper option, trailer brakes never wear out they rot away, rust doesn't care if its copy or oe made

Genuine SS (Blue) cables seem to last longer, but non gen triple sealed bearings and brake shoes from Taunton Trailers seem to be longer lasting than OEM pRts.
