Extreme 350kg trailer extension bar

Hi.
Not sure if this has been covered before sorry if it has.
I have the above trailer and a kia sedona.
When launching the trailer it is quite close to the car. So the exhaust and wheels are going into the water on some occasions and I does not fill me with joy that should it all slip backwards in be in big trouble.
My question is has anyone used an extention bar ! And what type .
A swing one looks like you need a lot of space around you to unfold it .
Is the another type like you can just add on or hang under the trailer. Your comments would be appreciated.
Keith

I had one on a previous trailer. It was a custom addition, simply a length of metal box section, with a slightly smaller box section inside with hitch on it, under the existing drawbar. At the launch site, unhitch the vehicle, wind the jockey up a bit, pull the extension out and hook it back on the car. I used spring loaded pins (intended for gym equipment) so the extension snapped into place when I pulled it out far enough with the car.

it worked well enough, but only in some situations. It only added about 3m of extra drawbar, so you still need a launch site with a reasonable slope. For my specific requirement with that boat, that car and that site, it worked. Where I am now it would be useless, and I use a tractor. Also doesn't solve the problem of slipping backwards. It just allows the car to stay dry, if its only "just" being dipped in, in that particular situation.

I had a MKII Futura Sport GT with a 40HP 2 stroke. Once I put 49cm launch wheels on we never dipped the trailer again. With a winch it can be single handed.

Thanks for the info guys.
I'm thinking now that it's going to be either costly or not worth it. If I find an area where its not very busy I might just consider using a tow bar winch instead .
It's just going to be a pain if other people are waiting behind me .
